How to See Amazon Price History and Tell Whether a Price Is Good
Amazon often changes prices several times a day, and Amazon itself doesn't show a full price history. These options still let you see whether a deal is good.
What Amazon itself shows
For some offers, Amazon gives a comparison price, such as the lowest price of the last 30 days or the RRP. But you won't see a history spanning several months there.
Price history on perldeals
For every product in our deals, we record the price ourselves and show it as a history on the deal page. That way you can see at a glance whether the current price is a low or just average.
Browser extensions and price comparison
Specialised price trackers record Amazon prices over long periods and display charts directly on the product page. Price comparison sites also show what other shops are charging.
Set a price alert instead of checking constantly
Instead of checking every day, set a price alert. On every perldeals deal page you can use "Tell me when it gets cheaper" to get an email as soon as the price drops.
FAQ
Why does Amazon change its prices so often?
Amazon automatically adjusts prices to demand, stock levels and other retailers' prices. That's why it pays to look at the history.
When is Amazon cheapest?
Often around Prime Day, Black Friday and Cyber Week. But many products are also reduced outside these days.
